The Thomas S. Monson Center serves as an embassy for the University of Utah downtown and as a community gathering place. Thanks to a generous gift from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and other community donors, the university restored this magnificent facility to its original form. The center provides a world class venue for university functions and serves as home to the Kem C. Garnder Policy Institue, Utah's premier economic and public policy reserach institute. We also invite the community to use this venue as a premier gathering place for private functions.
The Thomas S. Monson Center, formerly the Enos Wall Mansion, was donated to the University of Utah in 2014 by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The building underwent an extensive multi-year renovation with the assistance of the architecture firm of CRSA and McCullough Construction and was renamed after the current President of the LDS Church, Thomas S. Monson.
